Dr Coccia-Portugal is a specialist in the field of Breast Cancer and is loved and respected by her patients. Her dream was always to create a facility modelled on the EUSOMA model.
The Dr MA Coccia-Portugal practice use various treatment methods of Breast Cancer during all stages of the Breast Cancer pathway, such as but not limited to Chemotherapy, Hormonotherapy, Immunotherapy and Targeted therapy etc.
At the Dr Coccia-Portugal Breast Care Centre we are involved with various Breast Cancer Trials including Clinical Trails and Clinical research in Breast Cancer.
We partnered with The Radiology Group to offer our patients Mammography and Ultrasound all under the same roof, thus creating minimal disruption to our patients.
Dr Coccia-Portugal works in close collaboration with Dr Riaan Jacobs at Zuid Afrikaans Hospital whenever surgery is required as part of the individual patient’s Breast Cancer pathway.
Is a Non-Profit Company that was born when a group of passionate patients of Dr Coccia-Portugal came together to help others going through the same fight. The aim is to assist those in need who are unable to pay for their treatment.
Breasties For Life collaborates with dedicated organizations such as LAC Cares and the Dr. Coccia-Portugal Breast Care Centre to enhance breast cancer care and support.
During the initial screening process, patients are evaluated to determine their eligibility for treatment. This step is crucial for identifying those who may benefit from specific treatment options.
After screening, patients either enter breast cancer trials or receive assistance in securing funding for treatment at the Dr. Coccia-Portugal Breast Care Centre.
A Chapter Comes To A Close
After 30 years of operating as the Dr Coccia-Portugal Breast Care Centre, the practice will be permanently closing.
